Carved from the former Selous Game Reserve, Nyerere is built around the Rufiji river and a chain of lakes. It is one of the very few places in East Africa where you can game view from a boat in the morning, walk in the afternoon and drive at dusk.
It is also one of the best places on the continent for African wild dog, and the birdlife on the water is extraordinary.
