Lion and Leopard
Lions are relatively easy to spot in the Masai Mara and Serengeti. Leopards remain more elusive; focus on the Mara’s riverine forests, Samburu, or the Seronera valley for the best chance of a sighting.

Elephant and Buffalo
Elephants thrive across the region, though Amboseli’s tuskers and Tarangire’s dry-season herds are world-class spectacles. Cape buffalo are common, often found in massive herds near permanent water sources in most major national parks.

The Rare Rhino
Black rhino are the rarest of the five. The Ngorongoro Crater provides excellent visibility. In Kenya, Lewa and Ol Pejeta conservancies are vital strongholds that significantly increase your chances of completing the set.
