How a safari day runs
Most camps wake you around 5:30 for a morning drive while predators are active, return for brunch, rest through the heat, and head out again from about 16:00 until sunset.

A first safari is less about ticking off animals and more about learning the rhythm of the bush: early starts, long quiet afternoons and evenings around a fire.
These are the practical lessons our guests most often wish they had known before they landed.
01
Most camps wake you around 5:30 for a morning drive while predators are active, return for brunch, rest through the heat, and head out again from about 16:00 until sunset.
02
Plan at least three nights per area and no fewer than six nights in total. Fewer moves mean more time watching wildlife and less time in vehicles.
03
Private conservancies allow night drives, walking and off-road viewing with far fewer vehicles. National parks offer iconic scenery but stricter rules.
04
Wildlife always has right of way.
05
A balanced first trip in Kenya: two nights in Amboseli for elephants below Kilimanjaro, then five nights split across two Mara conservancies. In Tanzania: Tarangire (2), Ngorongoro highlands (2) and central Serengeti (3).
06
Check visa or eTA rules at least six weeks out, speak to a travel clinic about malaria prophylaxis and yellow fever, and buy travel insurance that includes medical evacuation.
07
Most camps are fully inclusive, so cash is mainly for tips and curios. Carry clean US dollar notes printed after 2013, plus a card for lodge shops and city hotels.
08
Trying to see too many parks, packing hard suitcases that do not fit light aircraft, and wearing bright white or camouflage clothing.

Yes. Licensed guides, established camps and clear vehicle rules make safaris very safe. Most incidents come from ignoring guide instructions.
Nine to twelve months for July–October and December holidays; three to six months is often enough in green season.
Not for game drives. Walking safaris and gorilla treks need moderate fitness.
Why settle for a brochure safari

Dates, who is travelling, budget and what you most want to see. Two minutes in the planner or a short message.
A day-by-day route with named camps, flights, park fees and a clear total — plus alternatives if dates are tight.
Change anything until it feels right. A 50% deposit holds your camps; nothing is booked until you say so.
Yes. You receive a costed, day-by-day itinerary with no payment and no obligation. You only pay once you decide to secure the trip.

A 50% deposit holds your camps and flights. The balance is due closer to departure, and we send reminders well ahead of the due date.
Anything can change before you book: camps, number of nights, the order of parks, adding a beach finish or switching between luxury and ultra-luxury.
No. Every journey is private — your own guide and vehicle, leaving when you are ready and stopping when you want.
Tell us your dates, your travelling party and your budget and we will come back with a costed itinerary, real camp availability and a clear price — no templates.
Not every safari company. The safari company.
Anyone can send you a brochure. We build your journey with named stays, verified availability and every cost shown before you commit — then save the finest sighting for your final golden hour.
01
Your dates, pace, interests and budget shape the route. We order every stop logically and keep the strongest experience for the finish.
02
Your safari is not a shared departure. Leave when you are ready, stay longer at a sighting and adjust each day with your guide.
03
You see the proposed camps, transfers, flights, park fees, inclusions and exclusions before you decide—not just a headline price.
04
Suggested stays remain suggestions until checked. We verify the space for your dates before issuing the booking offer.
05
Change the route, number of nights, camp level or transport until the journey fits. Nothing is booked until you approve it.
06
The itinerary, quote and booking details stay aligned. A 50% deposit secures the approved trip, with the balance paid closer to travel.
